Treatise by zephyris Treatise by zephyris
Treatise was born in a notebook at the back of a boring lecture on immunology with the simple thought of “How can I make a serif more fun?”. When writing a scientific treatise there are not many options for making it enjoyable, however some little quirks and fun features in the font can take the serious edge off the writing...

Treatise is a light and open serif with some design quirks giving it a slightly calligraphic feel; a single storey “a” and “g”, a visible stroke mark on the “o” and a curved arm on the “k”. These features are subtle enough to fit into a paragraph of text, but bold enough to give a title some character.

This is the regular face only, to get the italic and bold faces then I am afraid you will have to spend a few pounds/dollars/euros: [link]

Nice! I like that it's still simple enough to use in everyday correspondence and notes, but adds a little artistic spice to eliminate the boring factor from the usual selection of acceptable fonts... Yay! :)

I see that since I gave my reply comment the "anxious" emoticon, your work now has a statistic under "fear." Since that is not the statistic I intended to give or the feeling of my comments, I am commenting again now to set the record straight. :D

Really nice! I have been working n a font in a similar same vien and just can't quite get it right, it's still a ways out. But this looks really unique, and the italic looks really lovely. Bold and bold italic as well. Nice work!

Sure do. Keep in mind though, it's still a long ways out, I keep getting designer block or going off on tangents. Heres an artistic poster I made with it: [link] and here is a scan of two renditions of the font-in-progress (using font thing to view it) [link]

I like it! I can see you have had a similar inspiration to me but giving quite a different final result. I look forward to seeing the final font at some point :D
